B.A.D. halo life

A support page for peeps living with Bipolar Disorder, Brain fog, Anxiety & Depression by a Melbourne gal who has been battling these demons for 40 years. The more we talk about our "invisible" struggles, the more the stigmas will lift. They have to…………….. don't they? PLEASE SHARE MY BLOG, ADD YOUR COMMENTS & TELL US YOUR STORY..

14. A Snapshot of My Mind

With much difficulty, I sit at my dining table striving to write a blog entry. Little ideas crop up but nothing seems to anchor itself to the walls of my mind. Nothing holds. It’s as if my brain is a fluid sea with my thoughts wafting through, not grabbing onto rafts, nor icebergs nor the rocky shore.

I used to fight this state of uncertainty. I used to think that I had to control every thought that took up residence in my brain. But I’ve now learnt that sometimes the only way to a peaceful mind is to let my thoughts be. Just let some ideas settle where they fit and let others simply pass through. The more I strain to create a blog, to entertain my followers, the less I enjoy it and the more stilted and rigid my writing becomes. That’s no good for anyone..

So I allow myself to be. I just sit here with my tepid cup of tea, my not-quite headache and the sound of a passenger jet in the distant sky. I let the thoughts and the words flow out of me onto the page. It doesn’t have to tell a story. It just has to give you, my readers, a snapshot of my mind.
